Westcliff Real Estate Partners is a private real estate investment, development, and advisory firm founded by Justin Bain in 2025. The company began as a platform to capitalize on Mr. Bain's deep and unique experience developing and investing in resort & hospitality anchored real estate projects. We are actively advising other real estate sponsors, managing existing investments, and pursuing opportunities to expand our investment and development portfolio.
Mr. Bain has been a real estate developer, investor, and advisor for over 20 years, and has extensive experience within all real estate asset classes: land development & master-planned communities; resort & hospitality; multifamily & workforce housing; industrial; office; and retail.
From 2014 through 2024, Mr. Bain worked for CrossHarbor Capital Partners and its subsidiary, Lone Mountain Land Company ("LMLC"), originally as a Senior Associate and eventually as Director, Principal, and Senior Vice President. He was instrumental in building the firm's resort development business, which started as a single investment and blossomed into a comprehensive strategy to grow tourism in Southwest Montana. LMLC began as a handful of entrepreneurs and eventually employed 125+ people during the period when Mr. Bain was part of its leadership team. The projects undertaken during this period included:
During this period, Mr. Bain served on the Board of Directors for Visit Big Sky and on the Ownership Committee of Lone Mountain Land Company. His role within LMLC evolved over the years and was multi-faceted. He led the company's debt capital markets function and portfolio-managed three investment funds. He touched and influenced acquisitions, design, construction, financing, investor relations, asset management, and dispositions.
Prior to CrossHarbor / LMLC, Mr. Bain spent two years in the Acquisitions group of AEW Capital Management (Boston), an institutional real estate investment firm, and three years as a real estate development consultant at CB Richard Ellis (San Francisco).
Mr. Bain holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College, where he was a member of the Varsity Soccer Team, and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Outside of work, he is a dedicated husband and father. He is also head coach of the U8 alpine ski program at Waterville Valley Academy (the BBTS "Mitey Mites") in New Hampshire, and still enjoys playing and coaching soccer.
